We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Head of Sales for our Japan office. Reporting to the Country Manager, the Head of Sales for Japan will be responsible for creating and executing an effective business strategy through a diverse group of distribution channels in Japan. You will need to interact with both internal and external stakeholders and individuals, as well as to manage sales-related members in ESET Japan.Job description
Responsibilities:
Build the sales team and motivate the team of Business Development Managers and Pre-Sales Engineers, while managing the department cost, keeping within the budget and achieving maximum output
Manage, plan and delegate work to team members and be responsible for performance of assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures and processes
Be responsible for formulation and achievement of goals of the organizational units under you, in compliance with divisional goals
Responsible and accountable for attaining revenue goals on end user price and net revenue bases
Point of contact for escalation cases from designated ESET Partner for sales, business development and market development matters
Identify, grow and develop business potentials and contribute to fostering demand for ESET technology
Identify risks to revenue attainment and take necessary actions proactively
Prepare business plans for the Japanese market and follow up on the execution
Implement ESET strategy in the Japanese market
Manage all stages of enterprise opportunities in close cooperation with distributors and resellers
Forecast and report business results to higher management of ESET Japan on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Prepare status reports on specific tasks, projects and other related activities
Partner with the Marketing and Global HQ ESET teams in achieving fulfilment of business targets
Undertake further tasks and working assignments as instructed and expected by senior personnel
What will help you stand out from the rest
10+ years of experience in a sales managerial role, leading sales and engineering teams
Deep and thorough understanding of the channel sales business in the Japanese market
Strong technical knowledge of endpoint security products in the enterprise space, and related technologies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Exceptional verbal and written English
Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
Ability to travel throughout the region and to HQ as needed. Must be ready to spend 10% - 20% of the time going to visit partners, APAC offices and ESET HQ
