UX Designer with User Research Experience

The User Experience Team at ESET is looking for a talented UX designer with strong researcher skills, a passion for innovation, and the motivation to enhance the usability and effectiveness of our products and services. 

Primary working location for this position is Bratislava, but if you are able to work from Košice, Brno, or Prague, we can discuss all possibilities.

As a member of the global User Experience Team at ESET headquarters, you will use your expertise to shape the future of ESET security products and services for business customers worldwide, including some of the most prominent global corporations (airlines, banks, car manufacturers, and others). 

Responsibilities 

As part of the User Experience Team, you will: 

• Plan and conduct user research.  

• Utilize various qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, card sorting, usability testing, accessibility testing, contextual inquiries, designing questionnaires,  A/B testing and others to identify areas for improvement. 

• Identify the appropriate research methods for various products and user scenarios. 

• Evaluate and correlate qualitative and quantitative research data. 

• Develop and maintain user personas and journey maps. 

• Validate design through user insights and research evaluation. 

• Design user flows, interfaces, and other touchpoints based on research.  

• Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders.  

• Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.  

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX research.  

• Participate in all UX activities. 

You will work on a broad portfolio of solutions for different customer groups, with products running on various platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, web). 

Requirements 

• Experience: At least 2 years in User Research and design.  

• Education: Relevant degree (UX, Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or similar).  

• Skills: Proactive attitude, problem-solving abilities, strong communication, cooperation, and presentation skills, and fluency in English (verbal and written).  

• Technical Understanding: Ability to grasp technical topics.  

Bonus Points 

• Experience with B2B products.  

• Experience with service design.  

• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as creating questionnaires, usability testing, interviews, card sorting, accessibility testing, contextual inquiries, and others. 

• Experience with leading and facilitating interviews and usability testing. 

• Experience with evaluating quantitative research data. 

• Experience with analytics tools to gain behavior patterns and feedback data. 

• Experience with creating user and customer personas.
